How to Measure

Use the letters on the sketch to find each point.

  1. Height Stand in socks and measure from the top of your head to the floor.
  2. Neck Wrap the tape around your neck with two fingers under it, or use your dress-shirt collar size.
  3. Shoulders Straight across the back, from one outer shoulder bone to the other.
  4. Length From the base of the collar at the back of the neck down to where you want the hem.
  5. Chest Around the widest part of your chest, under the arms and over the shoulder blades, two fingers under the tape.
  6. Waist Loosely around your belly button, over a shirt, two fingers under the tape.
  7. Hips Loosely around the widest part of your hips and seat, two fingers under the tape.
  8. Sleeve From the edge of your shoulder, over the bent elbow, down to the wrist bone.

Tip: ask someone else to take your measurements. You’ll get a much more accurate fit.
