How to Measure

Use the letters on the sketch to find each measurement point.

Men's clergy chimere and rochet measurement guide
  1. Height Stand in socks and measure from the top of your head to the floor.
  2. Neck (Collar) Measure around the base of your neck with the measuring tape providing your standard collar size.
  3. Shoulder to Shoulder Measure from the outer edge of one shoulder bone to the outer edge of the other shoulder bone.
  4. Back Length Measure from the base of the neck, where the spine meets your neck, down to the point where you want your hem to fall.
  5. Chest / Bust Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape under your arms and across the back.
  6. Waist Measure around your natural waistline, usually at the belly button, keeping the tape comfortable and not too tight.
  7. Hip Measure around the fullest part of your hips.
  8. Sleeve Length Measure from your shoulder bone to your wrist, letting your arm relax at your side, then run the tape over the upper part of your arm.

Tip: ask someone else to take your measurements. You’ll get a much more accurate fit.

Shepherd's Watch: Roman Purple Bishop Chimere for Men

This bishop's chimere is a sleeveless, open-front vestment worn over a rochet or cassock for liturgical services, in a Roman purple liturgical color.

Fabric and Construction

Made from superfine tropical suiting fabric, this chimere is breathable and holds up to regular wear. The open front allows for easy wear and removal, closed at the chest with a button-and-loop morse fastening.

Design Details

  • Morse Closure: A button-and-loop fastening secures the chimere at the front.
  • Gathered Back: The back is gathered below the yoke, finished with braid trim and a button.
  • Matching Velcro Cuffs: Cuffs in Roman purple close at the wrist with Velcro, worn over the sleeve underneath.

Sizing and Fit

Available in sizes 38–60, offered in Short, Regular, and Long lengths.

Care Instructions

Dry clean only, to preserve the fabric and color.
