How to Measure

Use the letters on the sketch to find each measurement point.

Men's clergy chimere and rochet measurement guide
  1. Height Stand in socks and measure from the top of your head to the floor.
  2. Neck (Collar) Measure around the base of your neck with the measuring tape providing your standard collar size.
  3. Shoulder to Shoulder Measure from the outer edge of one shoulder bone to the outer edge of the other shoulder bone.
  4. Back Length Measure from the base of the neck, where the spine meets your neck, down to the point where you want your hem to fall.
  5. Chest / Bust Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape under your arms and across the back.
  6. Waist Measure around your natural waistline, usually at the belly button, keeping the tape comfortable and not too tight.
  7. Hip Measure around the fullest part of your hips.
  8. Sleeve Length Measure from your shoulder bone to your wrist, letting your arm relax at your side, then run the tape over the upper part of your arm.

Tip: ask someone else to take your measurements. You’ll get a much more accurate fit.

Shepherd's Watch: Rochet for Men with Roman Purple Cuffs

This rochet is a long white gown worn under a chimere, finished with Roman purple cuffs and collar trim to coordinate with a bishop's chimere. The body and sleeves are gathered into a round-neck yoke for a full, traditional shape.

Fabric and Construction

Made from soft Toyobo fabric, this rochet is durable and holds its shape and color over repeated washing. The body and sleeves are gathered with shirring, joined at a round-neck yoke.

Design Details

  • Roman Purple Cuffs and Collar: Contrast trim at the collar and wrist coordinates with a matching chimere.
  • Round-Neck Yoke: The gathered body and sleeves join at a round-neck yoke.
  • Velcro Cuffs: Sleeves close at the wrist with Velcro wrist bands.
  • Lower Calf Length: A long, flowing length suited to formal ceremonies.
